THE BRIEF
Challenger is an EU-funded project that aims to identify best practice cases of applied research in vocational education and training (VET) and explore existing barriers to integration.
One of the project’s goals is also designing self-guided courses and resources and piloting the new structure and role model development in open community spaces to achieve a meaningful impact for regional communities.
As we were contracted to create the project’s website, we also created the e-learning system.
OUR APPROACH
We decided to use our existing e-platform, elearningproject.eu, where we already host many courses from various EU-funded projects.
On this platform, we first created 18 courses for students, divided into 3 modules. Then, we created 9 courses for teachers/role models, for a total of 27 e-courses.
All courses contain one or more explainer videos, podcasts, PDF materials,… The courses are interactive, and include gamification, quizzes, and a certification system with badges, certificates, and open badges by Badgr.
We used the WordPress Content Management System, LearnDash LMS, Gamipress gamification, and Badgr system of open badges.
