THE BRIEF
The client approached us to build the website because he was participating in a special project, funded by the European Union: Inclusion of Roma and migrant children into schools. Centre for Legal Informatics Studies – Taranto Observatory works as NGO and is part of the network CSIG Italy. It is a centre for research in the field of new technologies and its impact on our lives and social dimension. It studies the social role of technology and every form of social inclusion mediated by technology.
CSIG Taranto is strong in IT Law and Immigration Law and has been working for several years on issues regarding human rights, information, technology, e-learning, social networking.
The website had to reflect the institute’s two main fields of activities: IT Law and Immigration Law.
OUR APPROACH
As the CSIG’s activities include work in the fields of IT and also human rights, we decided on a design, suitable for both purposes.
We also set up new email addresses for all the CSIG staff – they all had different before this project (Gmail, Yahoo & similar) which was not seen as professional.
We are managing the website and updating the content, as per client’s instructions.
We used WordPress Content Management System as the platform to easily manage the content.
THE RESULTS
CSIG Taranto has its website for the first time and can see constant growth in website traffic.
We continue to work with CSIG and help them manage the content for the duration of the EU project.
