THE BRIEF
The client approached us to build a website for a scientific conference – Makelearn & TIIM 2020 International Conference, organized by four different partner universities because we built the site for the conference in previous years. The website had to be appealing to the current conference audience and at the same time had to bring in some new customers.
The website had to be built in the English language because the official language of the conference is English.
It had to offer the conference participants the possibility to submit their papers, the complete peer review process, conference management, and online registration fee payments.
OUR APPROACH
We decided on a design based on the fact that the conference will be held completely virtually.
We used WordPress Content Management System as the platform to create and easy to manage content experience.
For the conference management system, we decided to use the OpenConf system which has been used by many well-known university and conference organizers. It covers all important aspects of the conference: paper submissions, reviewing process, managing the timetables and similar.
We have also integrated a payment system which enables the conference participants to pay for the registration online.
We are updating the content and are building the social network presence for the conference.
