THE BRIEF
Due to the 2020 Covid-19 situation, the customer wanted to move the international conference PiConf 2020 from Malta completely into the virtual environment. For now, they needed a new website, a Facebook page, a submission system for submitting and reviewing papers & a payment system for paying the registration fees.
OUR APPROACH
We designed a new website and also implemented a new system for submitting and reviewing the papers. Based on the expected volume of participants and the type of submissions, we decided to use the system WP Abstracts. We have also integrated a payment system which will enable payments of the registration fees for the conference through the website.
We have also created a new Facebook page for the conference and we will start promoting it all across the social media and on different conference platforms.
We need to prepare all the technical details regarding the video conferencing system, for the month of October when the conference takes place.
