On May 7, 2026, DERMOL d.o.o., as a partner of the SymbioTech project, participated in the international Knowledge Camp event organised within the FREINDS project in Potenza, Italy.
The event gathered 21 participants from Slovenia, Italy, Latvia, Poland, and Norway and provided an important opportunity for international exchange of knowledge and good practices in the fields of industrial symbiosis, sustainability, and circular economy.
During the workshop, DERMOL d.o.o. presented the SymbioTech project, its objectives, activities, and expected results. Special attention was given to comparing the approaches and methodologies of the FREINDS and SymbioTech projects, as both projects address similar challenges related to industrial symbiosis and sustainable development.
Through open discussion and exchange of experiences, participants explored good practices and opportunities for transferring successful approaches from the nearly completed FREINDS project into the further implementation of SymbioTech activities. The discussion highlighted the importance of international cooperation, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge transfer in supporting Europe’s green and digital transition.
The event further strengthened networking and cooperation among stakeholders from different European countries and confirmed the importance of collaboration in developing innovative and sustainable solutions for future industrial ecosystems.
