We are pleased to announce the release of the third SymbioTech Project Newsletter, covering project activities and achievements from March to June 2026. During this period, the consortium made significant progress in transforming the project’s curriculum design into practical training materials and advancing the development of innovative digital tools for Digital Industrial Symbiosis.
The latest newsletter highlights the ongoing development of comprehensive training resources for future SymbioTech Managers, designed to support learners, educators, SMEs and professionals in applying Digital Industrial Symbiosis principles in real-world industrial settings. The programme covers key topics including Industrial Symbiosis, Life Cycle Assessment, AI and machine learning, blockchain-based traceability, energy management and Environmental Management Systems.
Another important milestone is the continued development of the AI-assisted Collaborative Platform and the SymbioEnergy Tool, both currently undergoing internal testing. These digital solutions are being designed to help users identify industrial synergies, analyse resource and energy flows, and support data-driven decision-making for more sustainable and circular business practices.
The newsletter also showcases the growing impact of the project. By Month 18, more than 900 stakeholders—including SMEs, education providers, business networks, public authorities and students—have actively contributed to shaping the project’s training materials and digital tools through consultations, workshops and Knowledge Committee activities.
