We are pleased to share the second SymbioTech newsletter, covering key developments from November 2025 to February 2026.
Following a strong first year focused on research and stakeholder engagement, the project has now moved into an implementation phase—developing practical training content and digital solutions for digital industrial symbiosis.
Key Highlights
- Curriculum completed (D3.1):
A structured training programme with 14 modules for higher education (EQF6) and VET (EQF5), combining theory with practical, real-world applications. - Digital tools in development:
The AI-powered SymbioTech platform and the SymbioEnergy tool will support data analysis, identify industrial synergies, and optimise energy use. - Strong stakeholder engagement:
Over 395 stakeholders and 22 workshops continue to shape and validate project results.
What’s Next
The next phase focuses on developing full training materials, advancing digital tools, and piloting solutions in real-world environments.
